Several years before the show “Glee” was on the air, Lisa Goulder saw that there was a need for singing classes that offered a pop music repertoire to young singers. Soon thereafter Pop Singing for Girls was launched. The program, which is now in its 14th year, gives girls ages 9-13 a chance to build their musical muscles in a supportive environment, and allows them to bond with other girls around their mutual love of singing pop songs. Girls are able to learn, among other topics, fundamentals of vocal technique and the dynamics of group singing. Developing these skills builds a sense of comfort and confidence that these young performers will carry with them throughout their lives.

Pop Singing for Girls is proud of the high quality of its instructors, all of whom have had many years of professional experience in singing, acting and dancing. There is a small teacher-student ratio, so students get lots of individual attention and chances to shine. Our performances at the end of sessions and summer camp are always a lot of fun, and it’s exciting to see what these young singers have accomplished.
